Jeff Johanson is a man of two worlds—the high-security realm of Cold War cryptography and the vibrant, skeletal landscapes of Oaxacan tradition. A U.S. Air Force veteran and career Network Administrator, I spent decades securing the flow of information before turning my technical precision toward the digital afterlife.

As the founder of Jeff of the Dead, I blend the discipline of a veteran with the soul of a 15-year resident of Oaxaca, Mexico. My work isn't just about digital skulls and VRChat assets; it’s a modern expression of Memento Mori, crafted with the intent to honor tradition without the "goofiness" of commercial Halloween tropes.

Whether I am coding Python scripts to streamline digital production or authoring guides to help seniors secure their home networks, I operate at the intersection of security and art. From the plains of Oklahoma to the heart of Mexico, I remain dedicated to one simple rule: Respect the craft, secure the connection, and celebrate the dead.
